Toogoom is a tiny seaside community 10 minutes from Hervey Bay. It is the perfect spot to indulge in a week of relaxing by the water.

This picturesque area boasts un-spoilt beaches, great fishing, wildlife and bird watching. Visit the nearby teagardens or waterfront restaurant.

Toogoom is a small but rapidly growing community situated right on the waters edge with long white sandy beaches, warm clear waters, kangaroos and the local Mango tree!

If you like fishing, then Toogoom is for you. Reknowned for being a fishermans paradise, Toogoom and the surrounding waters are a haven for many species including Flathead, Bream, Snapper, Tailor, Summer & Winter Whiting, Mangrove Jacks, Queen Fish... you name it, it's here. Oh, and don't forget the crabs, the beautful mud crabs! These can be caught in the Beelbi Creek just up the road. If you are a keen fisherman or fisherwoman, you'll be writing home about your catch of the day in no time, you may even want to join the local Toogoom Family Fishing Club.

Bring your boat and enjoy the calm tranquil waters of the Wide Bays best fishing spots, including the Toogoom Inlet, Beelbi Creek and Burrum Heads area. The Toogoom boat ramp at the far end of Toogoom Road was recently upgraded thanks to the kind folk at the Hervey Bay City Council. The ramp can now be used to drop off or pick up boat across all tide levels.

Need somewhere to stay in Toogoom? There are plenty of Holiday houses right on the beach front or if you are thinking of a permanent move, brand new housing is being developed around a pair of man made lakes in the Fraser Waters Estate and a number of other areas in and around Toogoom.

Toogoom is located approximately 18 km or 16 mins north west of Hervey Bay in Queensland and forms part of the Wide Bay area, in the heart of the Fraser Coast. To get to Toogoom from Hervey Bay, simply take the Pialba - Burrum Heads Road out of Hervey Bay and follow the signs.
