
A pleasant 25 minute drive from Hervey Bay, Torbanlea is one of the smal historic towns located on the Bruce Highway north of Maryborough.
The Burrum Mining Museum has 11 buildings housing 4,400 items on memorabilia, providing an insight into the history of the area, when coal mining was the indsutry driving the local economy.

Nestled in the hinterland of Hervey Bay is the lovely historical village of Howard. Serviced twice daily by the 'Tilt Train,' Howard is an easy 15 minute drive to Maryborough, 25 minutes to Hervey Bay and 20 minutes to the beaches of Toogoom and Burrum Heads.
